\n Panasonic TV control (VIERA \/ NRC & My Home Screen 6+ encrypted)\n <\/h1>\n

\n MyURemote controls Panasonic TVs over the local network using the Panasonic VIERA\n Network Remote Control (NRC)<\/strong> protocol.\n Depending on your model, commands are sent either as classic SOAP requests, or through the\n newer encrypted NRC<\/strong> flow that requires PIN pairing.\n <\/p>\n <\/header>\n\n

Overview<\/h2>\n

\n Panasonic control in MyURemote works by emulating the original Panasonic remote control over IP.\n Commands are sent as key events<\/strong> to the TV\u2019s NRC endpoint.\n <\/p>\n

\n We currently support two Panasonic profiles, because Panasonic uses\n two different control flows<\/strong> depending on the TV generation \/ platform.\n <\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n \n

Supported Panasonic TV profiles<\/h2>\n\n
\n

1) Panasonic VIERA (classic NRC)<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Protocol: Panasonic NRC (SOAP)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Transport: HTTP<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Default port: 55000<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Technology in MyURemote: IP<\/strong><\/li>\n <\/ul>\n

    \n For many older VIERA models, classic NRC works without any explicit PIN pairing.\n If the TV has \u201cNetwork Remote Control\u201d settings, ensure it is enabled.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

    2) VIERA \/ My Home Screen 6+ (encrypted NRC)<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Protocol: Panasonic NRC (encrypted)<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Transport: HTTP + payload encryption (AES\/HMAC)<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Default port: 55000<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Technology in MyURemote: IP<\/strong><\/li>\n <\/ul>\n

      \n Newer Panasonic models (My Home Screen 6+) require a\n PIN pairing flow<\/strong> before commands are accepted.\n The pairing creates an ApplicationId<\/strong> and Keyword<\/strong> that are saved for future use.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n \n

        \n Make sure the TV and MyURemote are on the same network.\n Most issues come from wrong IP address, guest Wi-Fi isolation, or blocked LAN traffic.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n \n

        First-time use (read this carefully)<\/h2>\n\n
        \n

        Turn the TV on before first connection<\/h3>\n

        \n The very first time<\/strong> you use MyURemote with a Panasonic TV,\n the TV must be powered on<\/strong> and connected to the network.\n <\/p>\n

        \n If your TV uses the encrypted NRC profile, you will also need to complete the\n PIN pairing<\/strong> once.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n \n

        \n

        PIN pairing (My Home Screen 6+ encrypted)<\/h2>\n\n

        \n If your Panasonic model requires encrypted NRC, MyURemote will show a pairing box.\n The flow is:\n <\/p>\n\n

          \n
        1. Click Show PIN on TV<\/strong><\/li>\n
        2. A PIN will appear on the TV screen<\/li>\n
        3. Enter the PIN in MyURemote and click Pair<\/strong><\/li>\n <\/ol>\n

          \n After a successful pair, MyURemote stores the required keys for that TV,\n so you don\u2019t need to pair again unless the TV is reset.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n \n

          \n

          Power On (Wake-on-LAN)<\/h2>\n\n

          \n Panasonic TVs differ in how well they support powering on over the network.\n MyURemote will support Wake-on-LAN<\/strong> (WOL) for TVs that keep their network interface\n available in standby.\n <\/p>\n\n

            \n
          • Power Off<\/strong>: works via NRC immediately<\/li>\n
          • Power On<\/strong>: will use Wake-on-LAN<\/strong> when supported (implementation in progress)<\/li>\n
          • WOL requires the TV\u2019s MAC address<\/strong> and correct standby\/network settings<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n \n

            Note about Android TV models<\/h2>\n\n

            \n Some Panasonic models run on (or include parts of) an Android TV<\/strong> platform.\n In practice, these TVs are not always controllable<\/strong> via the standard Android TV remote protocol.\n <\/p>\n

            \n If Android TV remote control does not work reliably, the Panasonic NRC profiles above are usually the best option\n (classic NRC or encrypted NRC depending on the model).\n <\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n \n

            \n

            Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n

            TV does not respond<\/h3>\n
              \n
            • Verify the configured IP address<\/strong> and port<\/strong> (usually 55000)<\/li>\n
            • Make sure the TV and MyURemote are on the same network (no guest Wi-Fi isolation)<\/li>\n
            • Try the other Panasonic profile if your model changed behavior after an update<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n\n

              Pairing fails (encrypted profile)<\/h3>\n
                \n
              • Make sure you clicked Show PIN on TV<\/strong> first<\/li>\n
              • Enter the PIN exactly as shown on the TV<\/li>\n
              • If the TV was paired before with another app, try removing the pairing on the TV (if available) and retry<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n\n

                Works in Panasonic \u201cTV Remote\u201d app but not in MyURemote<\/h3>\n
                  \n
                • This often indicates the TV requires the encrypted NRC<\/strong> profile (PIN pairing)<\/li>\n
                • Use the device \u201cVIERA \/ My Home Screen 6+<\/strong>\u201d and complete pairing once<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/section>\n\n \n
