1. How it works<\/h2>\n\n

\n MyURemote communicates directly with the\n Philips Hue Bridge<\/strong> on your local network.\n The Hue Bridge acts as the controller for all Hue lights connected to it.\n <\/p>\n\n

  • The Hue Bridge is configured as a device\/controller in MyURemote.<\/li>\n
  • Individual Hue lights are configured on a Home Control<\/strong> page.<\/li>\n
  • MyURemote pairs once with the Hue Bridge and stores the authorization.<\/li>\n
  • After pairing, lights can be controlled from Home Control and from macros.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\n \n

    2. Requirements<\/h2>\n\n
      \n
    • A Philips Hue Bridge connected to your local network.<\/li>\n
    • At least one light already configured in the Philips Hue app.<\/li>\n
    • The IP address of the Hue Bridge.<\/li>\n
    • The MyURemote app and Hue Bridge must be able to communicate on the local network.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n\n

      \n Tip: reserve the Hue Bridge IP address in your router\/DHCP configuration\n so that it does not change.\n <\/p>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\n \n

      \n\n

      3. Configure the Hue device<\/h2>\n\n

      \n First add a Philips Hue device in the\n MyURemote Configuration Panel<\/strong>.\n <\/p>\n\n

      \n Select:\n <\/p>\n\n 

      Brand:       Philips\nProduct:     Other - Various\nTechnology:  IP\nDevice type: HUE Lamp<\/code><\/pre>\n\n    
      \n      Under Network properties<\/strong> enter:\n    <\/p>\n\n    
      IP address:  IP address of your Hue Bridge\nPort:        80<\/code><\/pre>\n\n    
      \n      Example: 192.168.1.50:80<\/code>\n    <\/p>\n\n  <\/section>\n\n\n  \n  
      \n\n    
      \n      4. Important: create a Home Control zone\n    <\/h2>\n\n    
      \n      Philips Hue must also be configured on a\n      MyURemote Home Control page<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n\n    
      \n      This step is important because the Hue Bridge pairing procedure is started\n      from the Home Control page.\n    <\/p>\n\n    
      \n      Important:<\/strong>
      \n      The Pair Hue Bridge<\/strong> button is not shown on the normal\n      Device or Macro configuration pages. It appears on the Home Control page\n      when MyURemote detects that the Hue Bridge has not yet been paired.\n    <\/div>\n\n

      1. Create or open a Home Control<\/strong> zone.<\/li>\n      
      2. Create a group, for example Hue Control<\/strong>.<\/li>\n      
      3. Add a new element to that group.<\/li>\n      
      4. Select your previously configured Hue controller.<\/li>\n      
      5. Enter the Hue light number as the Domotics parameter.<\/li>\n      
      6. Save the element.<\/li>\n    <\/ol>\n\n  <\/section>\n\n\n  \n

        5. Hue Home Control parameters<\/h2>\n\n    
        \n      A typical Hue light configuration looks like this:\n    <\/p>\n\n    
        Label:               Living room Hue\nType:                Dimmer\nController:          Your Hue controller\nDomotics parameter: 1\nMax value:           255<\/code><\/pre>\n\n    
        \n      Domotics parameter\n    <\/h3>\n\n    
        \n      The Domotics parameter<\/strong> is the Hue light ID.\n    <\/p>\n\n    
        Hue light 1 \u2192 Domotics parameter: 1\nHue light 2 \u2192 Domotics parameter: 2\nHue light 3 \u2192 Domotics parameter: 3<\/code><\/pre>\n\n    
        \n      The light ID is assigned by the Hue Bridge and is not the IP address of\n      the individual light.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    
        \n      Max value\n    <\/h3>\n\n    
        \n      Use 255<\/code> for Hue light control. This allows MyURemote to use\n      the control as a dimmer as well as switch the light on and off.\n    <\/p>\n\n  <\/section>\n\n\n  \n

        6. Pair the Hue Bridge<\/h2>\n\n    
        \n      Open the Home Control page in MyURemote.\n    <\/p>\n\n    
        \n      If the Hue Bridge has not yet been authorized, MyURemote displays:\n    <\/p>\n\n    
        Philips Hue not paired\n\nPress the LINK button on the Hue Bridge,\nthen click Pair.\n\n[ Pair Hue Bridge ]<\/code><\/pre>\n\n    
          \n      
        1. Press the physical LINK<\/strong> button on top of the Hue Bridge.<\/li>\n      
        2. Immediately press Pair Hue Bridge<\/strong> in MyURemote.<\/li>\n      
        3. Wait for MyURemote to confirm the pairing.<\/li>\n      
        4. The authorization is stored and normally does not need to be repeated.<\/li>\n    <\/ol>\n\n    
          \n      Tip:<\/strong> press the physical Hue Bridge button first,\n      and then press Pair Hue Bridge<\/strong> in MyURemote.\n    <\/div>\n\n  <\/section>\n\n\n  \n

          7. Using Hue in MyURemote macros<\/h2>\n\n    
          \n      Once the Hue Bridge has been paired, Hue commands can also be included\n      in normal MyURemote macros.\n    <\/p>\n\n    
          \n      A macro can combine commands for devices from different zones.\n      The Hue Home Control zone does not limit where the Hue controller can\n      be used.\n    <\/p>\n\n    
          \n      For example, a single Watch Movie<\/strong> macro could:\n    <\/p>\n\n    
            \n      
          • Power on the television.<\/li>\n      
          • Power on the AV receiver.<\/li>\n      
          • Select the correct receiver input.<\/li>\n      
          • Dim or switch off the Hue lights.<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n\n  <\/section>\n\n\n  \n

            8. Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n    
            \n      I cannot find the Pair Hue Bridge button\n    <\/h3>\n\n    
            \n      Pairing is performed from a Home Control<\/strong> page.\n      It is not performed from the normal Device or Macro configuration page.\n    <\/p>\n\n    
            \n      Create a Home Control zone, add a Hue element and open that Home Control\n      page in MyURemote.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    
            \n      Pairing fails\n    <\/h3>\n\n    
              \n      
            • Verify the Hue Bridge IP address.<\/li>\n      
            • Verify that the controller is configured on port 80<\/code>.<\/li>\n      
            • Make sure the MyURemote device is connected to the same local network.<\/li>\n      
            • Press the physical Hue Bridge LINK button immediately before pairing.<\/li>\n      
            • Refresh\/restart MyURemote after configuration changes.<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n\n\n    
              \n      The wrong light responds\n    <\/h3>\n\n    
              \n      Check the Domotics parameter<\/strong>. It must correspond to the\n      correct Hue light ID.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    
              \n      Hue works in the Hue app but not in MyURemote\n    <\/h3>\n\n

                \n      Why do I need a Home Control zone?\n    <\/h3>\n\n    
                \n      The Home Control page is where MyURemote initializes Hue control and,\n      when required, displays the Hue Bridge pairing interface.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    
                \n      What does the Domotics parameter mean?\n    <\/h3>\n\n    
                \n      It is the Hue light ID. For example, use 1<\/code> to control\n      Hue light 1.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    
                \n      What should I use for Max value?\n    <\/h3>\n\n    
                \n      Use 255<\/code> for Hue lights.\n    <\/p>\n\n\n    
                \n      Can Hue commands be combined with AV commands?\n    <\/h3>\n\n
