Bose Integration

MyURemote supports multiple generations of :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} systems. Choose the correct documentation below — control methods, wiring and configuration differ significantly between generations.

Bose systems cannot be documented as a single product line. Depending on the model and generation, MyURemote controls Bose systems via serial (RS232), TTL-based serial (M1 Multi-Room), or direct IP.

Select the category below that matches your Bose system. If you are unsure, check the model label on the back of the unit or take a photo and contact support.

Lifestyle 18 / 28 / 38 / 48

Early Lifestyle systems with serial control and model-specific wiring. These systems are not compatible with Lifestyle 40/50 wiring.

Lifestyle 40 / 50 (M1 Multi-Room)

Legacy systems using the M1 Multi-Room interface with TTL-based serial communication. Requires RS232-to-TTL conversion and custom wiring.

Lifestyle T10, 525 → VideoWave (2011+)

Lifestyle systems with multiroom feedback, zone-based control and different behavior compared to older generations.

IP-based systems (SoundTouch, 600 / 650)

Direct IP-controlled Bose systems. No serial controller required. Configured like standard IP-based AV devices in MyURemote.

Important: selecting the wrong category will result in missing feedback, incorrect wiring requirements or “no response” errors. If in doubt, verify the exact model before proceeding.
