Quickstart – Get up and running in minutes
This quickstart guide explains the minimum steps required to get a working MyURemote setup. No technical background required — deeper guides are available if you want to go further.
1. Create your account
Create a MyURemote account and log in to the configuration panel. Your configuration is stored online and automatically loaded each time you open the interface.
2. Open the configuration panel
The MyURemote configuration panel is web-based and adapts automatically to your screen size. You can use it on:
- Windows PC or laptop
- Tablet
- Smartphone
There is one single configuration interface — no separate desktop or mobile versions.
3. Add your devices
Start by adding the devices you want to control:
- TVs, projectors, amplifiers
- Streamers and set-top boxes
- IP-based devices and controllers
Some devices and controllers are detected automatically. Others can be added manually by selecting brand, product and control technology.
4. Create a zone (essential step)
MyURemote works with zones. A zone represents a physical setup such as a living room, home cinema or bedroom.
When creating a zone, you must select a main device (amplifier/TV/…). This is the central device that controls volume and input selection.
An amplifier can be a classic AV receiver, but it can also be a TV (for example when all sources are connected to the TV and audio is handled via ARC/eARC).
5. Add at least one input to the zone
Inputs are defined inside the zone. Each input links a device to the selected amplifier (for example HDMI 1, HDMI 2, TV tuner, streamer, etc.).
A zone can only be used when at least one input is configured. Without inputs, no control interface can be generated.
This design ensures MyURemote always knows which device is active and can automatically present the correct controls.
